Educating the parents of the disabled about mental retardation with a view to arouse consciousness of the special needs of these children and their responsibility towards them is another main concern of the centre. Child Guidance Centre was established in the year 1973 to reach the unreached people with commitment and service. The main thrust of Child Guidance Centre is: starting Special Schools for Mentally and physically challenged children, schools for street children in urban areas. The vision of the school is to make challenged persons in self-dependent and productive members of the nation through providing opportunities for education, and bring them on par with the normal children.
