Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 July 2026
Welcome to Mitr. By accessing mitr.co.in you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
What Mitr is
Mitr is a directory and collaboration network for India's social sector. Directory information is compiled from public sources and community contributions; trust badges and scores are indicators computed from platform activity, not a legal certification, audit or endorsement of any organisation. Verify independently before donating to, volunteering with, or partnering with any organisation.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Claiming an organisation page is only permitted if you are genuinely authorised to represent that organisation. False claims may be removed and accounts suspended.
Acceptable use
- No unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or misleading content or conduct.
- No impersonation of people or organisations.
- No scraping at scale, abuse of the API, or interference with the service.
- Community concerns must be reported in good faith.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute it on the platform. We may moderate, restrict or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.
Directory listings
Organisation listings are provided for public benefit on an as-is basis. If you believe a listing about your organisation is inaccurate, use the claim or report tools on the listing, or contact us.
Disclaimers and liability
The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mitr is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the actions of any organisation or user listed on or using the platform.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms and will post the revised version here. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.
