To bring together all MS Persons MSSI is a voluntary organisation, with its head office in Mumbai and 9 chapters all over India. It is working to minimise the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis, a chronic progressive disease of the central nervous system. Since there is no known cause for MS, there is no known cure. The organisation mainly covers all MS Persons -persons who have Multiple Sclerosis. MS is also known as the crippler of the young Adult, as it attacks people in the age group of 18 to 40 years. The MS Society provides care and rehabilitation and helps persons to lead a fuller life inspite of MS. It’s nurse, counsellor and physiotherapists visit the homes of MS persons. It also provides aids and appliances like wheelchairs and walkers and helps with medical reimbursements, MRI scans and hospitalisation expenses
