Rural development PRAWARDA, a non-government development organization established in 1994, is a group of committed and dedicated professionals who strive for improving the livelihoods of the poor, marginalized sections of farmers, women, youths and children in the North Karnataka region. Institution BuildingInstitution building forms the crux of all the activities promoted by PRAWARDA. Community ownership of programmes and activities is very important in the long-term sustainability of the development processes. Towards achieving this end, PRAWARDA has formed various village level institutions such as VDS, WMC, SHGs, GMASS, User Groups, Common Interest Groups, etc. Capacity building is one of the core competencies of PRAWARDA and it is an integral part of all the projects and programmes.
