To promote and propagate structural safety concern amongst general public and to persuade the government to ensure construction only of safe buildings stable to withstand earthquake and other natural calamities. Also working in the field of development planning, for implementation of development planning norms set out under Part IXA of the Constitution, advocating peoples right to particplation in development planning. Also raising issues relating to the basic human right to adequate housing, reminding government of its constitutional and statutory obligations in this respect, working for the regulation of builders, developers, structural engineers and others engaged in design, construction and sale of buildings
