Social Work The society for participatory integrated development, also known as spid, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (ngo) working in urban and rural areas of Delhi and uttar pradesh. Established in 2004 under the Indian societies registration act (1860), this community based organization was founded by a group of dedicated social workers, lawyers, and volunteers, and has since worked relentlessly for the betterment of the marginalized, deprived, vulnerable and ignored populations. It creates a platform for community empowerment through a variety of creative programs and activities focused on education, capacity building, health promotion and women s empowerment. Spid was founded on a belief in the dignity of all people and their capacity to overcome their problems.
