Development(General), Environment, Rural Development, Women’s issues The WWAGS monitors development of the poor and needy people of the rural areas of Manipur; creates employment opportunities for rural women; organises adult literacy and post literacy centres; encourages training of front line personnel in handicrafts and handloom cottage industry; and identifies the problems of small farmer, marginal farmers and agricultural labourers; undertakes activities like social welfare, health programmes, social forestry, preservation of traditional herbs and practices; and assists other institutions and associations by way of grants and revolving funds
